Brycen Sanders vs Marcel Reed: Live game, score updates at the Division II-AAA state championship game
Once again, the biggest game in the state of Tennessee kicks off tonight at 7pm CT. No. 2-ranked Baylor School (10-2) and Brycen Sanders face No. 1 Montgomery Bell Academy (12-0) and Marcel Reed at Finley Stadium in Chattanooga, Tenn. in the 2022 Bluecross Bowl.
Reed has done it all this season, earning a Division II-AAA Mr. Football finalist nod. The No. 8 senior in the state, Reed’s completed 58 percent of his passes for 1,935 yards and 22 touchdowns. He’s also run for 877 yards and 15 touchdowns.
Sanders and his offensive line teammates have done a fantastic job protecting Whit Muschamp and opening up run lanes for two-sport star, Caleb Hampton. The No. 5 player in Tennessee has helped the Red Raider offense be one of the most dynamic in the southeast this season.

The Ole Miss signal caller commit is the first four-year starter in the Big Red’s program history and Sanders is hoping to bring the golden ball home for Baylor for the first time since 1973. They were runner-ups in 2011.

FIRST QUARTER
- Baylor School goes three-and-out and punts it away to MBA.
- Marcel Reed flashes his brilliance with an unreal throw to take an early 7-0 lead.
- Controversial call as Baylor answers back with a touchdown reception. Ball was punched out a yard short but the call stands. 7-7, 7:18 left in first quarter
- Marcel Reed answers back with a dart. 14-7 MBA, 6:58 left in the first quarter
- Good drive for Baylor but they come away with nothing
- Marcel Reed and MBA march down and take a 21-7 lead, Reed’s third touchdown pass of the game
SECOND QUARTER
- 2024 Ole Miss WR target Amari Jefferson answers with a 48-yard touchdown run on an end around. 21-14 MBA, 10:55 left in the second quarter
- MBA can’t answer as a first down completion is dropped
- And just like that 2024 ATH Caleb Hampton runs it in and we’re all tied up, 21-21. 6:49 left in the first half
- Reed’s fourth touchdown pass gives MBA a 28-21 lead. 4:49 left in the first half
