St. John’s (D.C.) cornerback Collin Gill added yet another Power 5 name to the list of prospective suitors after Ole Miss cornerbacks coach Sam Carter extended an offer to the DMV prospect on Sunday.

The 6-foot, 190 pound defensive prospect is the No. 992 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average which utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is ranked as the No. 93 cornerback and the No. 6 recruit in Washington, D.C.

Gill also holds notable offers from Maryland, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Oregon, Michigan, Washington, Washington State, Boston College, Cincinnati, SMU and Kansas State.

So far, the northeast prospect has taken an unofficial visit to Virginia but that’s it. Sources tell OMSpirit he is mostly concerned with preparing for his senior season, competing in track and field and keeping his grade point average up ahead of his final year of high school.

He was a key cog for the St. John’s defense in 2021, earning a Second Team Washington Catholic – Capital League selection and helping. SJC finished the season 11-0 and were 14th in the country, per USA TODAY Sports.

Maryland leads the way in Gill’s Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) at 11.3%. Virginia is in second at 9.9%, Virginia Tech is in third at 8.5% and Boston College, Cincinnati, Michigan, Ole Miss, South Florida, SMU, Utah, Washington, Washington State and Kansas State are all tied at 7.0%.

RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.

It factors in machine learning, expert predictions, social sentiment, visits, and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

Gill has an On3 NIL Valuation of $6k. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
