Former Notre Dame, LSU running back Logan Diggs commits to Ole Miss

It wasn’t the biggest news of the day nationally, but in Oxford the breaking news was former Notre Dame and LSU running back Logan Diggs committing to Ole Miss.
Diggs, who just finished his junior season in Baton Rouge, was the team’s second-leading rusher this season behind only Jayden Daniels, making him the lead running back for the Tigers this year. In total, he finished with 653 yards and seven touchdowns on 119 carries. He also caught eight passes for an 82 additional yards.
He spent the previous two seasons at Notre Dame, including his first under Brian Kelly in 2021.

For his career, Diggs ran for 1,703 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns. He also added 24 receptions for 349 yards and three more scores. In the instant classic against Ole Miss this season, Diggs ran for 101 yards on 19 carries and scored twice.

Logan Diggs was a dual-threat weapon at Notre Dame in 2022.
He rushed for 822 yards and four touchdowns on 165 carries. The newest Rebel was the Fighting Irish’s second-leading rusher. He eclipsed the 100-yard mark three times in 2022 and averaged five yards per carry.
Diggs played high school football at Metairie (La.) Archbishop Rummel, where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 477 overall recruit in the 2021 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Rankings, a weighted average which utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
He was a catalyst for a Rummel team which went 13-0 and won the Division I state championship in 2019. Diggs ran for 923 yards and seven touchdowns as a senior.
