Four-star JUCO cornerback Cedrick Beavers signs with Ole Miss
Another “fax” has come in with the addition of Jones College (Miss.) four-star cornerback Cedrick Beavers. The 5-foot-11, 170 pound defensive back signed with the Rebels over offers from Arkansas and Louisville.
Beavers, who played his high school ball at Taylorsville (Miss.) just wrapped up his sophomore season at Jones College in 2022. The newest Rebel had 33 tackles, three interception, three pass breakups and 1.5 tackles for loss for the Bobcats.
At Taylorsville (Miss.) he was a three-sport star. In baseball, he hit .337 as a senior with 32 hits, 16 runs batted in, four triples and three home runs. He also stole 68 bases his final two years at the prep level.
On the gridiron, though, he finished his senior year with 71 tackles, six tackles for loss and six interceptions and was selected to play in the Mississippi/Alabama All-Star Game.

Beavers, who played his high school ball at Taylorsville (Miss.) just wrapped up his sophomore season at Jones College. The Ole Miss signee had 30 tackles and one interception as a freshman for the Bobcats.
He joins fellow junior college signees Deion Smith, Raymond Collins and Marquis Willis.
Back in February, the junior college prospect had a chance to sit down with Pete Golding and go over his film.
“He thinks I’m a really good player and that I fit what they want to do on defense,” Beavers said. “It was a great talk and I was real excited when he told me I had an offer.”
