Ole Miss hosted Virginia Anthony Colandrea this week and are set to host a Big Ten quarterback this weekend. OMSpirit confirmed Penn State quarterback Beau Pribula is set to be in Oxford, Miss., Friday.

The sophomore appeared in every game for Penn State in 2024. He rushed for 230 yards and four touchdowns, adding an element to the Nittany Lions’ offense Drew Allar cannot. He also added 275 passing yards and five touchdowns through 12 games before the Big Ten Championship.

As a freshman, Pribula finished with 56 carries for 329 yards and four touchdowns while adding 149 passing yards and four touchdowns. The York Central York (Pa.) prospect was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 461 overall player and No. 26-ranked quarterback from the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average which utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Ole Miss needs depth behind Austin Simmons. Beau Pribula would fill this void.

Walker Howard has left Ole Miss for Louisiana and AJ Maddox is just a freshman. Pribula would be an excellent addition to the quarterback room. He would bring an element the Ole Miss offense could certainly use in packages instead of risking Simmons getting banged up.

Penn State’s tight end Tyler Warren had all the confidence in the world in Pribula when he was under center this year.

“He’s done it before,” Warren said. “Coming in vs. Rutgers and kind of doing something similar. We’ve seen it all through camp. It’s not really any sense of panic when that situation comes about. We know what Beau can do and the type of leader and competitor he is. I think it’s really just going out, playing the game, and understanding there’s still a job to do. And he’s capable of doing anything you ask of him at the quarterback position.”
