Ole Miss currently has the 26th-ranked recruiting class in On3’s Team Recruiting Rankings. The dead period is back on for August as the Rebels start fall camp. But, Lane Kiffin and Co., are still working the trail hard. Let’s take a look at the current commits and who some of the notable additions are as the homestretch to National Signing Day begins.

Andrew Maddox Florida Gators

Top-Ranked Commit – 4-star DL Andrew Maddox (No. 184 overall)

Oak Grove (Miss.) defensive lineman Andrew Maddox might’ve been the worst-kept secret in the 2025 cycle. His family ties to the program and defensive coordinator Pete Golding made it almost impossible for him to pick anyone else. The 6-foot-3, 270 pound prospect’s brother, AJ Maddox, is a freshman quarterback at Ole Miss and his father is very close to Golding.

Top Out-of-State Commit – 4-star S Keon Young (No. 269 overall)

Ole Miss nabbed Lakeland (Fla.) safety Keon Young earlier this summer over notable offers from Florida and Georgia. The versatile defensive back is dangerous with the football in his hands. Whenever he grabs an interception, he quickly turns into a returner and can take it back for six. He has plenty of length despite being only 6-feet tall. Young was quite the coup early in the cycle for Golding, Bryan Brown and Wes Neighbors.

Biggest Surprise Commit – 4-star S Cortez Thomas (No. 298 overall)

Most everyone expected Holmes County Central (Miss.) safety Cortez Thomas to pick Mississippi State. But, the 6-foot, 170 pound recruit chose the Rebels because of the business-like approach around the building. He is another commit who brings a lot of versatility. He has worked extensively at his craft at cornerback and has shown a lot of improvement this year.

Fast-Rising Commit – 4-star CB Maison Dunn (No. 142 overall in On300)

Tupelo (Miss.) cornerback Maison Dunn committed to Golding and Ole Miss in May. Since then, college coaches have taken notice of his elite length and playmaking ability. On3’s Charles Power loves his game, saying he has “plus length” and is “hyper physical and put together some strong games against talented wide receivers as a junior”.

Silent Assassin Commit – 3-star TE Hayden Bradley (No. 853 overall)

Buford (Ga.) tight end Hayden Bradley is a pro on the field. Georgia high school coaches say he is a monster on the field but is very professional in how he goes about his business. Despite the three-star ranking, he has blue chip ability in the red zone. He is certain to play a bigger role in the Wolves offense in 2024.

Check Back in November Commit – 3-star DL Corey Adams (No. 820 overall)

One name I have heard a lot when talking about under-the-radar prospects is Edna Karr (La.) defensive lineman Corey Adams. The 6-foot-5, 235 pound prospect picked Ole Miss over LSU and TCU and is poised for a big senior season in New Orleans. Defensive line coach Randall Joyner made sure he got Adams back on campus for an official visit this summer and when he did, he sealed the deal.
