Energy and familiarity the difference for Corey Adams, commits to Ole Miss over LSU and TCU
After taking his time and going on his official visits, Edna Karr (La.) defensive lineman Corey Adams made the call. The 6-foot-5, 235 pound prospect committed to Ole Miss Thursday over notable offers from LSU, TCU and Southern Cal.
The 10th Ole Miss commit is ranked as the No. 963rd overall recruit in the country and is the 88th-ranked defensive lineman in the 2025 class. Adams is Louisiana’s No. 27 recruit.
The official visit to Ole Miss sealed it for the three-star recruit.
“I really did enjoy it. You can tell they’re all about business,” Adams said. “I bonded well with coach (Randall) Joyner.”
The Ole Miss defensive line coach was part of a three-headed recruiting approach over the weekend for the nation’s 85th-ranked defensive lineman. Adams’ conversations with Joyner were eye-opening and made a huge impact on where Ole Miss stands in his recruitment.
“I really like coach Joyner. He matches my energy,” Adams said. “He’s real cool and I wouldn’t mind having him as my d-line coach.”

Ole Miss’ Top 25 class is back to double-digit commits.
The top prospect is four-star running back Akylin Dear. Four-stars Andrew Maddox, Jarcoby Hopson and Keon Young also headline a talented group committed to Ole Miss. Could the 11th commit be coming on the heels of Adams?
Alpharetta (Ga.) EDGE Julius Holly is set to announce June 29. Like Adams, Joyner made a huge impact during the four-star’s official visit.
“We talked about how my game translates and what he thinks of me as a piece of the defense,” Holly said. “He enjoys how I play and thinks I fit into their scheme. Then, we talked a lot about pass rush and run game technique.”
Holly also had a chance to meet with defensive coordinator Pete Golding.
“We mostly talked about formations and scheme,” Holly said. “But we had a good time. He’s great, we were mostly joking around and just hanging out.”
