Ole Miss football extends official 2025 offers

The dead period is back on fall camp has started. Ole Miss football will now turn (most of) its attention to the 2024 season. Lane Kiffin and Co., have College Football Playoff aspirations and players like Jaxson Dart, Tre Harris and Walter Nolen have position awards in sight. But, attention is still somewhat split August 1.

The first of the month marks the beginning of the latest dead period which will run to the end of the month. There is one exception. The 48 hours prior to a home game during August and September 1–2 through the 48 hours after the game. This is referred to as a quiet period.

The Rebels are currently ranked 26th in On3’s latest 2025 Team Recruiting Rankings.

Alas, recruiting never stops and August 1 marks the first day official offers can be extended. Despite them all being referred to, in name only, as “offers”. There are different types of offers. The “official” offer is a clear-cut sign the staff wants to sign this prospect in December or February.
