Ole Miss targets in On3 2025 Football Prospect Watch List
There is ample time for the 2025 class to sift through early offers, schedule visits and build relationships with coaching staffs, but the clock has already started for several highly-ranked prospects entering their sophomore seasons.
Ole Miss has already offered a few who were deemed worthy of the 2025 Football Prospect Watch List by On3’s Director of Scouting and Rankings, Charles Power.
Each prospect is listed with their position, On3 grade, hometown, high school and commitment status if applicable.
The rating scale is as follows: Five-star prospects have grades 98-100, four-star recruits have grades 90-97, while 80-89 grades are for three-stars.
In this early ranking, all prospects are rated as low four-stars. The rankings are presented in a watchlist format rather than a numerical order. Two prospects have a grade of 92, seven have a grade of 91 and the remaining 91 prospects hold a grade of 90. The prospects are listed by position and sorted by rating and alphabetical order.
We will finish each recruiting cycle with 32 five-stars. The rankings will be updated on a regular schedule throughout the year as we gain information and further exposure to the prospects. This ranking will be expanded to the On300 during the spring.
Caleb Cunningham
School: Ackerman (Miss.) Choctaw County
On3 Grade: 91
Status: Not committed
Ole Miss receivers coach Derrick Nix and director of recruiting strategy Kelvin Bolden extended an offer to Cunningham on Thursday, joining in-state Mississippi State and the American Athletic Conference’s Memphis. At 6-foot-3, 175 pounds the Magnolia State recruit has an SEC-worthy frame at wide receiver already and is starting to get national attention after putting up big-time numbers as a freshman (31 catches, 569 yards, 10 TD).
Ryan Williams
School: Saraland (Ala.) High
On3 Grade: 91
Status: Not committed
The 6-foot-1, 160 pound wideout holds early offers from Alabama, Ole Miss, West Virginia, Florida State, Michigan, Arkansas and Louisville after a freshman campaign at Saraland where he had 27 receptions for 289 yards and four touchdowns. On3’s Jimmy Stein had a chance to see him last week in his 2022 opener.
“Ryan Williams was recently listed in the On3 2025 Watch List and he was worth watching on Friday night in Daphne for sure. The lanky sophomore wideout was a big play machine against a very good Daphne squad that was filled with veteran performers. It mattered not. He housed a punt. He flashed electric burst and long speed on the play. He caught multiple touchdown passes.
Honestly, he could have played better. There were drops. He was targeted a ridiculous number of times. His best trait is simply the ability to separate and make plays. He gets open effortlessly. He runs away from quality defenders. Consistency making the catch (the ball was wet) is a thing for certain but let’s remember how young this prospect is. He is only going to get much better. Which is scary. Ryan Williams of Saraland, Alabama (who has an Alabama offer and reportedly likes Alabama a ton) has a chance to make a run at five-star status. He’s that good.”
Derick Smith
School: Selma (Ala.) Southside
On3 Grade: 91
Status: Not committed
Another Yellowhammer State prospect on Ole Miss’ radar, Smith jumped on folks’ radar earlier this summer with an impressive showing at the All-Gas 7-on-7 Showcase. Simmons came away impressed.
“Derick Smith became a hot name in Alabama this spring. Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, and others offered during his freshman year and he is a very intriguing prospect. Is he a wide receiver? Is he a safety? That will play out over time. Smith does not look like your typical rising sophomore physically and he is very gifted athletically.”
Ole Miss defensive analyst Aashon Larkins extended an offer to the 6-foot-2, 190 pound athlete in the spring but Smith also boasts early offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, and Michigan.
Andrew Maddox
School: Hattiesburg (Miss.) Oak Grove
On3 Grade: 90
Status: Not committed
In the Pine Belt, Oak Grove High School has one of the better sophomore prospects in Maddox. The 6-foot-5, 280 pound defensive lineman already holds notable offers from Alabama, Arkansas, Florida State, Ole Miss, Texas and Texas A&M. Ole Miss defensive line coach Randall Joyner will be all over Maddox for the next two years as well as Bolden who is one of the most connected guys in the state of Mississippi.
Zahir Mathis
School: Philadelphia (Pa.) Imhotep Institute
On3 Grade: 90
Status: Not committed
Ole Miss and co-defensive coordinator Chris Partridge have had tremendous success recruiting the northeast the last three cycles and they hope to continue it here with Mathis. The 6-foot-5, 230 pound defensive lineman already has a who’s who list of offers, holding notable stamped letters from Penn State, Maryland, Rutgers, Georgia, Texas A&M, Florida, Michigan State, Nebraska and Michigan.

Colin Hurley
School: Jacksonville (Fla.) Trinity Christian Academy
On3 Grade: 90
Status: Not committed
The 6-foot-1, 205 pound quarterback from Florida released a Top 12 of Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Michigan State, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Penn State and Texas A&M on Thursday. Hurley has taken plenty of visits already, seeing most of his top schools list, but his recruitment should be a national one that is far from over. As a freshman, he threw for 2,146 yards and 24 touchdowns.
The Gators seem to be out in front for now.
Jarcoby Hopson
School: Horn Lake (Miss.) Lake Cormorant
On3 Grade: 90
Status: Not committed
The 6-foot-1, 205 pound safety transferred to Lake Cormorant after prepping at Horn Lake High School as a freshman. Since then, he’s been offered by Arkansas, Florida State, LSU, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M and South Carolina. Ole Miss cornerbacks coach Sam Carter and Nix are tag-teaming Hopson’s recruitment which, despite just starting, seems to already be a head-to-head battle between the Rebels and the Aggies.
In just seven games in 2021, Hopson had 49 tackles, seven passes defended and five tackles for loss.
Cutter Boley
School: Hodgenville (Ky.) Lexington Christian Academy
On3 Grade: 90
Status: Not committed
Boley was recently profiled by On3’s Chad Simmons, talking about early offers and who stands out entering his 2022 season. His first offer came from Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss.
“They saw a lot of workout videos of me,” Boley told On3. “I didn’t go to their camp, but I had been to a lot of camps and I think some of that film got shared with them and they just really liked my talent.”
The 6-foot-5, 210 pound signal caller told Simmons of all the schools recruiting him, Kentucky, Michigan and Tennessee are giving off “a lot of love.”
George MacIntyre
School: Brentwood (Tenn.) Brentwood Academy
On3 Grade: 90
Status: Not committed
Ole Miss has had a lot of success recruiting Nashville and they are at it again going after the big-bodied quarterback from Brentwood Academy. The 6-foot-5, 180 pounder received an offer from Kiffin and new Ole Miss offensive coordinator Charlie Weis, Jr. in June and is starting to generate a ton of buzz on both the football field and the basketball court.
Jim Harbaugh and Michigan have also offered.
Anthony Rogers
School: Pike Road (Ala.) High
On3 Grade: 90
Status: Not committed
Ole Miss joined the already impressive offer list for Rogers earlier this year, but for now it appears they are down the list for the Pike Road running back. Alabama and Georgia are out front but Rogers’ former teammate and 2022 Ole Miss signee, Quinshon Judkins, could potentially be a factor in helping sell Ole Miss and new running backs coach Marquel Blackwell to the 5-foot-10, 180 pound back.
Jadon Perlotte
School: Buford (Ga.) High
On3 Grade: 90
Status: Not committed
The nationally-ranked program from right outside Atlanta continues to churn out Power 5 prospects and Perlotte appears to be next in line. At least Ole Miss thinks so as well as Florida, Georgia, Texas A&M and Ohio State, among others. Partridge recruits the state of Georgia very well and will be dialed in here.
