Ole Miss extends offer to 4-star Oregon commit Jonas Williams
On Friday, Ole Miss at long last offered one of the top signal callers in the country. Four-star Oregon commit Jonas Williams announced the offer on his Twitter.
Lane Kiffin recently visited the Lincoln-Way East (Ill.) prospect as the Rebels, along with several others, work to flip the 6-foot-2, 200 pounder. Williams is the 7th-ranked quarterback in the On3 Industry Rankings in the 2026 class. He’s the No. 85 overall recruit in the country and Illinois’ No. 1 player.
Williams has been committed to the Ducks since last summer. But, it seems Ole Miss is starting to turn up the heat.
As a freshman at Bolingbrook (Ill.), Jonas Williams threw for 2,737 yards and 37 touchdowns.
He followed this up with 3,196 yards and 33 more touchdowns as a sophomore. After transferring to Lincoln-Way East, Williams threw for 2,926 passing yards and 42 touchdowns while also running for 395 yards and another seven touchdowns.
He seems to be a perfect fit for an RPO scheme since he is more than comfortable throwing off-platform. The Oregon commit has shown he is more than capable of delivering the ball and challenging you through the air. His monster numbers are proof of this and he seems to only be getting better.

The Oregon commit remains firm. For now.
“Oregon has been my dream school for awhile,” Williams told On3. “A lot of people talk highly of Oregon and it definitely lived up to that standard. When I got there I really liked Coach (Will) Stein and how he teaches. That’s really important. I’m going to spend a lot of time with him the next four years of my life.
“I really like Coach (Dan) Lanning. He’s one of the most humble head coaches I’ve met. The whole coaching staff has a sense of integrity to them. I feel comfortable with them and can trust them.”
