Tennessee LB commit aiming to take OV to Ole Miss

Pike Road (Ala.) linebacker Braylon Outlaw has been committed to Tennessee since November. But, Ole Miss and defensive coordinator Pete Golding has yet to stop recruiting him.
Outlaw took a visit last fall to see a game not only by the atmosphere, but the defensive showing by the Rebels. Now, he has returned to Ole Miss for a January Junior Day and it seems Golding and the rest of the staff have made him a priority. Outlaw spoke to OMSpirit’s Billy Embody about earlier this month.
“It was a great visit. I really enjoyed it,” Outlaw said. “I liked the environment and mainly the teaching from coach Golding and how the system and defense was broken down to me. They let me know they are really interested in me and just went in depth of how I would be used in the defense.
“The community (stood out). We went to the basketball game and it showed how much the community is tuned in to sports. Definitely a fun and exciting environment.”
Braylon Outlaw tells OMSpirit he has an OV set to Tennessee and is working on one to Ole Miss.
He says Ole Miss is the one school coming after him the hardest, trying to land a flip commitment. But there’s another program who has entered the race.

“Florida State has been coming after me a little too,” Outlaw said. “A few of their coaches have hit me up.”
Still, it appears Ole Miss is the one currently making all the noise in his recruitment. Sources tell OMSpirit this is one to keep an eye on. Golding, along with Lane Kiffin and Wes Neighbors, are coming after the Alabama prospect hard.
“I definitely like him (Kiffin). Knowing his history as coach and seeing him in person was great,” Outlaw said. “I like coach Golding as well. great coach. He did a great job at breaking everything down to me. I love how he kept it 100 with me. Overall, I enjoyed talking to him and he is a great coach.”
As a junior, the 6-foot, 200-pound Outlaw last season had 147 tackles, three sacks, two interceptions and a touchdown. He also scored four touchdowns on offense.
