Ole Miss Football Training Camp: Some video highlights from Friday’s practice
The Ole Miss football Rebels on Friday (August 11, 2023) pressed forward with training camp in advance of the 2023 season, holding a session in shoulder pads and shorts in advance of their first scrimmage on Saturday.
The Ole Miss Spirit was in attendance and grabbed some video highlights, among them some throws from quarterback Walker Howard. Howard is a transfer from LSU entering his first Rebel season. He was with the No. 2 offense with Oklahoma State transfer Spencer Sanders missing practice due to academics.
Other notable observations include now-Ole Miss linebacker Ladarius Tennison now sporting a black, no-contact jersey and boot due to a right foot injury.

“You’ve got four guys I feel are very high-quality football players that can win football games,” Ole Miss offensive coordinator Charlie Weis, Jr., said of the quarterbacks following practice. “You’ve got to get all four of them ready to go and give all for of them opportunities to show what they can do.
“It’s been a challenging, but it’s a fun room to work with. I commend those guys. Sometimes you get some tension because of competition and all that, but I feel like those guys have been tremendous and handled it in a mature way. They come in with the right mindset every single day.”
