The 2022 college football season is less than 60 days away and Ole Miss is roughly four weeks away from starting fall camp. With football right around the corner the prediction makers are out in force already prognosticating how things are going to go between September and January.

ESPN’s Football Power Index has graded out Ole Miss’ entire 2022 season and sees the Rebels finishing 8-4.

Ole Miss has a very favorable start to the season with all four non-conference games in September and then starting SEC play against Kentucky and Vanderbilt. The FPI also agrees Ole Miss could become bowl eligible by Oct. 8, being favored in the first seven games of the season.

A 3-0 start to SEC play would put Ole Miss at 7-0 overall after a win against Auburn.

Then the final five games see the odds not in the Rebels favor according to the FPI.

Of the final five games Ole Miss’ schedule they are favored in only one of them – the 2022 Egg Bowl against Mississippi State. Ole Miss has a 63.3 percent chance of beating the Bulldogs in Oxford come Thanksgiving night.
