With one game remaining in the 2023 regular season the postseason road map is leading Ole Miss to only one destination for its bowl game.

Once all the major outlets start matching up their respective bowl projections with one another it is a good chance that is where ones’ favorite college football team is heading.

For Ole Miss fans it appears all but a done deal that they will be looking for hotel rooms in the place they call the ‘Happiest Place on Earth’ — Orlando.

The No. 13 Rebels (9-2, 5-2 Southeastern Conference) are heading to the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl at Camping World Stadium in all five latest bowl projections that were released on Sunday and Monday following the win over ULM.

Not only is the bowl game destination the same across the board but so is the Big Ten opponent for the January 1 matchup. No. 16 Iowa (9-2) is the projected opponent by every outlet. Action Network’s Brett McMurphy also projects an opening line for each of his projections and has Ole Miss a 13-point favorite over the Hawkeyes.

A game in Orlando has been trending this way for Ole Miss since beating Texas A&M and getting its eighth win of the season with three to play. The loss at Georgia did not hurt those projections, but did hurt the couple New Year’s Six projections the Rebels were in ahead of the November 11 game.

The team that is now standing in the way of Ole Miss and a second NY6 game in three years is Missouri. After rallying to beat Florida with a last-second field goal on Saturday the No. 9 Tigers kept their spot ahead of the Rebels in the NY6 pecking order.

A win over Mississippi State on Thursday and a Missouri loss at Arkansas on Friday is the recipe needed for Ole Miss to possibly overtake the Tigers for a spot in either the Peach or Cotton Bowls. Though some help from other CFP Top 10 teams will be needed this weekend and on ‘Championship Saturday’

The entire slate of bowl matchups will be announced on December 3.
