Ole Miss linebacker Mark Robinson heading to NFL Draft
Another Ole Miss Rebel has made a decision on their future and it involves beginning a path to play on Sundays next fall.
Linebacker Mark Robinson announced on Wednesday his plans to begin preparing for the NFL Draft. He is the third Rebel to make that decision since the Sugar Bowl last Saturday.
Similar to Dontario Drummond, Robinson’s time with Ole Miss was done after this season and chose to try and continue his career at the next level.
Robinson joined the Rebels as a walk-on in 2020 but had to sit out due to the transfer rule at the time.
In his one season on the field, Robinson had 92 total tackles — second only to Chance Campbell’s 109 tackles — and three sacks.

Drummond and Jerrion Ealy announced their intentions to head to the next level over the weekend.
Ealy revealed during his postgame press conference that the Sugar Bowl was his final game as a Rebel then posting his decision to forgo his senior season and declare for the NFL Draft on his Instagram account minutes later.
On Sunday, Drummond announced his future plans.
Prior to the Sugar Bowl, Matt Corral and Sam Williams announced their intentions to head to the NFL, making it a total of five Rebels who have publicly made their future plans known.
Corral’s sprain ankle does not appear to be affecting his draft stock and if anything is improving it with his decision to play the bowl game and finish the season with his teammates.
A top-15 pick appears to be Corral’s future in the latest mock boards, but what team that will be is still unclear as the draft order is not completely finalized. Though after the regular season concludes this weekend, The top 15 or 20 spots should be claimed by the teams who did not make the postseason.
The 2022 NFL Draft will take place April 28-30 from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
