Ole Miss offers All-American RB Scottre Humphrey
FCS All-American running back Scottre Humphrey entered the NCAA Transfer Portal, leaving Montana State after a dynamic 2024 campaign. Ole Miss joined numerous schools offering the 5-11, 220-pound back.
Humphrey led Montana State to the FCS Championship Game with 1,386 yards and 16 touchdowns over 15 games this season. His seven yards per carry in 2024 broke Troy Andersen’s single-season program record of 6.85. As a true freshman in 2023, Humphrey ran for 441 yards and eight touchdowns on eight yards per rush.
He’ll have two years of eligibility remaining at his next stop. Scottre Humphrey has also already added offers from the likes of Virginia Tech, West Virginia, North Carolina and others. He thanked the coaching staff in Bozeman for all they did for him on his way out.
“I want to first and foremost thank all the coaching staff at Montana State for investing their time and energy into me to help me become a better player and person,” Humphrey wrote on Twitter. “To my teammates the memories we made will never be forgotten!”

Ole Miss landed Missouri’s Kewan Lacy in the portal last month. The Rebels also signed four-star prospect Shekai Mills-Knight on National Signing Day. Lane Kiffin & Co. are looking for another back and Humphrey is just the latest to get an offer from the program.
