Ole Miss offers On3 Consensus three-star EDGE DeeJay Holmes
Ole Miss defensive analyst Davon Brown handed out an offer to Pahokee (Fla.) EDGE DeeJay Holmes on Monday. The 6-foot-3, 235 pound prospect from the Sunshine State has recently added offers from Georgia Tech, Maryland, Kentucky, Penn State, Wake Forest, Louisville, Pittsburgh, UCF and West Virginia.
As a junior, Holmes was named Sun Sentinel Palm Beach County 5A-1A Defensive Player of The Year. He led Pahokee with 92 tackles (25.5 for loss) and 19.5 sacks. Also notched 45 quarterback hurries, three forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and an interception.
Holmes has taken early unofficial visits to UCF and Florida State but sources tell OMSpirit he is in no hurry to make a decision.
UCF leads the way in his Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) at 53.0%. Florida Atlantic is in second at 4.2%, USF is in third at 3.6% and Coastal Carolina, Wake Forest, Ole Miss, Western Kentucky, Marshall, Louisville, West Virginia, Indiana, Pittsburgh, Penn State, Purdue, Syracuse and Boston College are all at 3.0%.

Holmes is the No. 496 prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
In the 2023 On300 ranking, Burks is the No. 47 EDGE prospect in the country and the No. 56 player from the state of Florida.
