Ole Miss offers Wyoming transfer wide receiver Isaiah Neyor
Ole Miss football was still in the giving spirit on Monday.
The Rebels offered Wyoming transfer wide receiver Isaiah Neyor, just three days after they did the same for UTEP’s Jacob Cowing on Christmas Eve.
The 6-3, 210 pound Neyor, a redshirt freshman, hauled in 44 passes for 878 yards and 12 touchdowns this season. He averaged 20 yards per catch.
Ole Miss is set to lose its Top 3 receivers (Dontario Drummond, Braylon Sanders and Jahcour Pearson) following the year.
In turn, the Rebels, who signed high school wideouts Larry Simmons and Jeremiah Dillon on the first day of the early signing period Dec. 15, have prioritized wide receiver in the portal. Dillon, it should be noted, has the versatility to play either receiver or cornerback in college.
No. 8 Ole Miss (10-2) will take on No. 7 Baylor (11-2) in the Sugar Bowl on New Year’s Day. Kickoff is set for 7:45 p.m. CT on ESPN.
“To me, the portal allows even more to do what we do, which is not reach and not have to just add numbers to add numbers,” Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin said. “Not only are there guys available, there’s going to be more guys available right after bowl games (and) then there’s going to be more guys available after spring ball.”
Ole Miss committed Louisville’s Jordan Watkins Dec. 21.
Watkins had 35 receptions for 529 yards and four touchdowns for the Cardinals in 2021. He finished second on the team in all three categories.
“(Kiffin) puts a lot of receivers in the NFL, the most recent one being Elijah Moore,” Watkins The Ole Miss Spirit. “Fitting into his position and things like that, that’s probably what I liked a lot about Ole Miss as far as fit-wise.”
The Rebels have also already hosted LSU’s Deion Smith for a visit, and sources indicate the Rebels remain the favorite to land the former On3 consensus four-star. Smith, who has some academic work to finish up, caught 11 passes for 186 yards and two touchdowns in six games this season.

Further, Ole Miss has been linked to LSU’s Trey Palmer, as well as Vanderbilt’s Cam Johnson, Syracuse’s Taj Harris and Akron’s Konata Mumpfield.

The 6-foot-1, 180-pound Mumpfield is a priority target Ole Miss is working to get to campus.
He holds offers from USC, LSU, Kentucky, Mississippi State and Louisville, among others. Mumpfield, a one-time three-star prospect, had 63 catches for 751 yards and eight TDs in his freshman campaign.
Cowing is fresh off a season in which he finished with 69 receptions for 1,354 yards and seven touchdowns. In all, the 5-foot-11, 170-pounds Cowing had 141 receptions for 2,595 yards and 13 touchdowns over three seasons for the Miners.
He’s been offered by Florida, Oregon, LSU, Virginia Tech, South Carolina, Mississippi State, Arizona State and Texas Tech.
