Ole Miss OL Cam East plans to enter transfer portal
Ole Miss offensive lineman Cam East is expected to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal, he announced on Friday. He joins Kavion Broussard as Rebel offensive linemen planning to leave the program.
“First and foremost, I want to thank God for the blessings and opportunities I’ve experienced during my time at Ole Miss,” East said on Twitter. “I’m also sincerely grateful to the coaches, teammates and community for their incredible support.
“After much consideration, I have decided to enter the transfer portal. This was not an easy choice, as I have deep respect for the program and all those who have supported my journey. I am eager to explore new opportunities ahead.”
He played in two games in 2022 while redshirting. In 2023, East played in two games. This year, he didn’t see action for Ole Miss.

East was committed to Mississippi State for nearly six months. However, the Rebels continued to aggressively pursue him, and once the 6-foot-7, 270-pound offensive tackle re-opened his recruitment Dec. 3, 2022, Ole Miss quickly emerged as the favorite to land him.
East was ranked as the No. 33 offensive tackle by the On3 Industry Ranking. The On3 Industry Ranking is a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s the No. 28 prospect in Louisiana.
