Watch Ole Miss baseball walk off Murray State for its 10th straight win

Ole Miss baseball is off to its best start to a season since winning the program’s first-ever national title in 2022.
The Rebels rallied from a 7-4 deficit against Murray State Wednesday night. Ole Miss used the second home run of the night for slugger Judd Utermark and two runs in the ninth. Hayden Federico walked the Racers off with a game-winning single in extra innings.
“Obviously it was a tough night at the beginning,” Federico said after the 8-7 win. He was hitless in his first five at-bats. Federico, a true freshman, entered the night leading Ole Miss in batting average, on-base percentage and stolen bases.
Federico continued, “At the end of the day, game’s on the line. You’ve got to put all that beside you and you’ve got to go win the game for your team somehow. Just do my job. Ended up working out.”

Utermark has homered in four straight games.
The junior, who hosts a podcast exclusive to the Ole Miss Spirit, went yard in each of the Rebels’ three games in a sweep of Wright State last weekend.

Illinois transfer outfielder Ryan Moerman stayed hot with his sixth multi-hit game of the season. He was 3 for 4 with a double, RBI, a walk and two runs scored. Moerman hit .444 last week, including four doubles, two home runs and eight runs scored.
He went into the game hitting .357 overall, with a team-high .762 slugging. He’s now pushing .400.
“There were a lot of other huge hits tonight, huge nights offensively by Moerman and Judd,” Federico said. “(Will) Furniss with a huge hit. (Brayden) Randle. A lot goes into the game. Obviously I had the hit to win it, but that was the least possible thing to happen tonight.”
