No. 9 Ole Miss looks to silence its remaining doubters — assuming there are any — this weekend at Florida.

SERIES SNAPSHOT
Saturday will be the 26th all-time meeting between Ole Miss and Florida. The two teams have played to a 12-12-1 tie through 25 meetings dating back to 1926.
SERIES AT FLORIDA
Ole Miss leads the all-time series in Gainesville, 6-4-1, including a 2-1 record since 2000.
Perhaps the most memorable trip to The Swamp came in 2008. Ole Miss stunned No. 4 Florida, led by Kentrell Lockett’s blocked extra point in a 31-30 win.
Marcus Temple stopped Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow on fourth-and-1 to end it, prompting Tebow’s iconic, ‘The Promise’ speech. The Gators reeled off 10 straight victories after the loss. No team came within single digits en route to their national title.

COACHING CONNECTIONS
Fifth-year Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin and offensive coordinator Charlie Weis, Jr., worked with Florida head coach Billy Napier at Alabama.
Napier was the wide receivers coach (2013-16) for then-Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban. Weis served as an offensive analyst (2015-16), while Kiffin was offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach (2014-16).
“I really enjoyed Billy,” Kiffin said. “He was a big help to me. I was the only new person on the staff at Alabama. He really helped me in that transition and understanding how it worked there. I’ve always been grateful to him. He helped me through a challenging time with my father this July on the phone. I’m really appreciative of him for that.
“And I think he’s put together a really good roster. They’ve got really good players. They’re a very good-looking team.”
