LOOK: Ole Miss snow pics as we contextualize the Jaxson Dart stuff
A winter storm on Friday brought snow for most of Mississippi, including 4-6 inches in Oxford.
Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, the home of Ole Miss football, was turned into a Winter Wonderland, as evidenced by the included pictures provided by Ole Miss athletics.
The Rebels this season won 10 games for the third time in four years, capped by a dominant showing against Duke in the Gator Bowl. The Rebels won 52-20. Quarterback Jaxson Dart completed 27 of 35 passes for 404 yards and four touchdowns.
The Ole Miss Spirit reported Thursday Dart has applied for a waiver (which he has!) to return to Ole Miss for another year. Sources indicate Dart is merely covering his bases for any and all potential eventualities.
Dart has already accepted a Senior Bowl invite. He’s still expected to head to the NFL Draft, paving the way for Austin Simmons as new Ole Miss QB1.

The 6-foot-2, 225-pound Dart threw for 4,729 yards, 29 touchdowns, and an SEC-leading 329.2 yards this season. He was one of nine Rebels named All-SEC.
Dart became one of just four players in SEC history with 12,000 total career yards. Dart broke the single-season Ole Miss passing and total offense records, as well as his own school records for single-bowl passing yards and total offense.
He’s Ole Miss’ all-time leader in wins (28). Dart is one of five Rebels headed to the Senior Bowl. The others are Princely Umanmielen (EDGE), Jared Ivey (defensive lineman), Trey Amos (cornerback) and Caden Davis (kicker).
Dart is currently the No. 3 quarterback in the draft class, according to ESPN’s Mel Kiper, Jr.
