Four-star QB Trever Jackson joins fast-rising 2024 Ole Miss class
After adding St. Martin (Miss.) four-star wide receiver Noreel White on Friday, Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss are back it with another blue chip commitment. Jones (Fla.) quarterback Trever Jackson made it official on Saturday, choosing the Rebels over Oklahoma, Texas A&M and UCLA.
Prior to the announcement, Jackson was the nation’s top uncommitted signal caller. Now he will be Ole Miss’ quarterback of the future. He is the nation’s No. 252 overall prospect and No. 16 quarterback in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average which utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 34 player in Florida.
The Elite 11 Finals recruit transferred to Jones High School for his senior year after being a first-year starter at West Orange High School in 2022. There he threw for 1,559 yards and 16 touchdowns. He also ran for 306 yards and six touchdowns.
Ole Miss lost its 2024 quarterback commit in July. But the staff quickly prioritized Trever Jackson.
Demond Williams Jr. decommitted from Ole Miss and eventually chose Arizona. The day after he reopened his recruitment, Lane Kiffin and Charlie Weis Jr. reached out quickly to Jackson. After this, it did not take long for the Sunshine State prospect to seize the opportunity to learn from one of the most respected offensive minds in college football.
“I heard a lot about Mississippi being bland and boring, so visiting Ole Miss for the first time opened my eyes. It was a great community and the players all stay together. Everyone around the school loves Ole Miss and it was a lot different than I expected it to be.

“The visit was really good and I like what Ole Miss is doing. Lane Kiffin has a history with quarterbacks, they have a high-powered offense and he is an offensive wizard.”
Ole Miss’ 2024 class is now comfortably inside the Top 20.
Jackson (No. 252) joins a four-star group which now boasts seven blue chips. Lake Cormorant (Miss.) defensive lineman Kamarion Franklin leads the way as the nation’s 39th overall prospect. He is joined by Kamron Beavers (No. 113), Jeffery Rush (No. 203), Travaris Banks (No. 223), Noreel White (No. 310) and Raymond Collins (No. 1 JUCO).
Kiffin and Co. are now trending big-time with high school prospects after two-straight cycles of attacking the NCAA Transfer Portal. The Rebels signed the No. 1 portal class in 2022 and the No. 11 portal class in 2023.
