Ole Miss running back Snoop Conner declares for the NFL Draft
Maybe the biggest question mark remaining as it pertains to the current Ole Miss football roster was answered on Wednesday.
Running back Snoop Conner ended the suspense and announced he would be forgoing his final season and declare for the NFL Draft.
Conner’s announcement comes just days after the Rebels lost another running back in Jerrion Ealy, who also opted to head for the NFL a year early.
“After continuous prayer and talks with my family, I have made the decision to forego my senior season and enter my name into the 2022 NFL Draft,” Conner’s announcement read. “I will ALWAYS be an Ole Miss Rebel. It is not a goodbye. Rebel Nation, it is a see you later. THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING.”

Ole Miss was hopeful Conner would decide to remain in Oxford for one more season, but now that is not the case and the running backs room is sparse.
The only player left with experience in the running backs room is Henry Parrish, Jr. who just wrapped up his sophomore season.
Parrish finished with 553 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 105 carries.
Now, head coach Lane Kiffin and newly hired offensive coordinator Charlie Weis, Jr. have work to do in trying to rebuild the running back position and give Parrish some help.
Former TCU running back Zach Evans is still on the Rebels board and is hopeful he will choose them in the transfer portal. Getting Evans would provide a huge boost and help fill the void of no Conner and Ealy immensely.
