Ole Miss Softball lands Nova Southeastern transfer OF Cassidy Patterson

Ole Miss Softball added a transfer commitment in Nova Southeastern outfielder Cassidy Patterson, On3 learned on Saturday.

This season, she appeared in 49 games and started in 46 games for the Sharks. The Tarpon Springs (Fla.) native touted a .368 batting average after tallying 53 hits in 144 at bats. She recorded 11 RBI, while also scoring 36 runs.

For Nova Southeastern, she got walked 23 times during the season and had a team-leading 36 stolen bases. She made 20 putouts with one assist during the season.

The Ole Miss softball program broke through this season with its first trip to Oklahoma City and the Women’s College World Series. After getting through the Tucson Regional as the 2 Seed then beating No. 4 National Seed Arkansas in three games the Rebels experienced their first taste of playing for the national championship. The Rebels fell short though in Oklahoma City.
