Ole Miss staffers named off-field recruiting stars by On3

In December, Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin credited the work of his off-field staff for putting together a Top 25 recruiting class in 2025. Now, On3 has given the nod to the work of some Rebel staffers as “off-field recruiting stars.”
On3 vice president of recruiting and transfer portal Steve Wiltfong ran down the Ole Miss staff that earned the nod.
“Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin brought in Billy Glasscock as his (NFL style) General Manager to oversee everything in the program from recruiting, scouting, NIL and coaching staff. He’s an industry veteran that shined at Minnesota and Texas prior,” Wiltfong wrote. “Director of Player Personnel Alex Brown wears a lot of hats as well. Mike Williams runs the scouting department and has 15-years of NFL experience. Coordinator of Recruiting Strategy Kelvin Bolden is one of the SEC’s best relationship guys. The Rebels signed On3’s No. 19 class.”
When you ask Glasscock, who is the general manager of the Rebels football program, where is the best place he has worked over the last 22 years of his career the answer is a quick one.
“(Ole Miss) has been the best place I’ve ever worked. By far,” Glasscock said during a Reb Talk show this fall. “This is the best place I’ve been because you feel the people every day. Other places I’ve been they like to pat you on the back and say, ‘Ain’t it great to work here? Isn’t it so great to work here? You have all these bells and whistles.’ Here it it is, ‘We’re so glad that you’re here.’”
Responsibilities for Glasscock include overseeing the day-to-day operations of Ole Miss’ player personnel, recruiting, performance analytics, academic support and other areas. Similar to what he was doing during his time at Texas from 2021 to 2023.
Once Kiffin and Glasscock got the chance to talk and discuss a potential opportunity in Oxford, it was not much of a tough sell to make the move from Austin.

“Coach Kiffin is why I’m here. A hundred percent,” Glassock said. “The way he sees it. The way he envisions what it is supposed to look like. He’s got enough courage. He’s got enough understanding of how to step outside the box and be a leader in college football.
Brown arrived at Ole Miss last offseason from SMU to serve as director of player personnel. Prior to his arrival in the Metroplex, Brown spent three seasons at Rice. There, he served as the director of football recruiting as well as the Owls’ NFL liaison. Before this, he spent four seasons as part of the recruiting staff at Houston under head coach Dana Holgorsen.
Bolden is a big part of Ole Miss recruiting, both at the high school level and as far as the transfer portal. He’s the coordinator of recruiting strategy for the Rebels and is a key recruiting staff for the Rebels.
Last offseason, Ole Miss hired longtime NFL director of personnel, Mike Williams, who is senior director of player personnel. He has worked as a vice president of player personnel for the St. Louis Rams for three years as well as a pro personnel director for the San Francisco 49ers for five.
