Ole Miss women's basketball announces full non-conference schedule for 2023-24
Fresh off its international trip to Italy the Ole Miss women’s basketball team finalized its full slate of opponents for the 2023-24 season.
On Friday Ole Miss revealed its non-conference schedule with dates and opponents with the season opener on November 6 against Queens University of Charlotte, which is also the annual ‘Kids Day’ game this season. An exhibition game against Rust College is set for October 29.
After traveling to Norman last year and nearly leaving with a victory over Oklahoma the Sooners complete the home-and-home series with a trip to Oxford on November 9. Temple this visits six days later on November 15.
Other home non-conference games include Little Rock, Louisville, Mississippi Valley State and Alcorn State.
“We intentionally elected to create very challenging schedule that will push our program as it continues to grow,” said head coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin in a statement. “Having the opportunity to play seven times at home during the non-conference portion of our schedule provides our students and fans a great opportunity to come and support our team.”

Road games for Ole Miss in its non-conference slate include trips to Southern Mississippi, South Alabama and Arkansas-Pine Bluff. Ole Miss is also in the Battle 4 Atlantis field that will be held Nov. 18-20 in the Bahamas. The Rebels are joined by Arizona, DuPaul, Michigan, Middle Tennessee, South Dakota, Howard University and Memphis.
Opponents will be announced at a later date.
“We also felt as the flagship university of the state of Mississippi, it was also important for us to work to have games against in-state institutions. Our games against Southern Miss, Alcorn State, Mississippi Valley State, and Rust are a part of maintaining entertaining interstate rivalries,” McPhee-McCuin said.
Earlier this summer Ole Miss learned of its opponents for the Southeastern Conference portion of this season’s schedule but dates and times have not been announced. Tipoff times and television designations for non-conference games will be announced at a later date.
