Ole Miss women’s golf took home its first regional title in program history on Wednesday.

The Rebels used a back-nine rally to claim the NCAA Bermuda Run (North Carolina) Regional at the Bermuda Run Country Club. The Rebels advance to the NCAA Championships for the second straight year. It’s their fifth all-time appearance.

Ole Miss entered the day tied for second and six shots off the lead. However, the Rebels saved their best round of the week for last, posting the lowest 18-hole postseason score in program history (-9, 279) for the championship. Ole Miss edged out host and defending national champion Wake Forest, as well as Texas, the champion of the Big 12.

Ole Miss was one of just five teams to advance.

“We know we have the right girls in place here,” Ole Miss head coach Kory Henkes said. “The fight down the stretch was really impressive. Super proud of each and every one of them. It’s a really tough field, and to get a win here is quite impressive.”

Ole Miss tied its best-ever 54-hole postseason performance.

The Rebels tied the overall tournament low score of 843, holing 21 birdies and 57 pars on the day. They finished three tournament rounds the tournament second in par-4 scoring (+8), par-5 scoring (-20) and birdies (55).

Caitlyn Macnab secured her third career medalist finish and second of the season. She tied for the individual championship (-12, 204) and shot 67 (-5) in the final. Macnab posted four birdies on the back nine to help propel the Rebels to Carlsbad, California. She clinched her fourth Top 5 finish of 2023-24, as well as her seventh overall as a Rebel.
