When a college football offense has as much firepower and weapons as the one No. 9 Ole Miss possesses it can sometimes lead to the issue of not enough to go around.

That could easily be the case for running backs Zach Evans and Quinshon Judkins, who are two of the top backs in the Southeastern Conference, if not the country.

Saturday’s performance by Evans and Judkins was yet another example of how explosive each can be but also how unselfish each of them are.

Judkins led Ole Miss (7-0, 3-0 SEC) with 139 rushing yards and a pair of touchdowns while Evans followed close behind with 136 yards and a touchdown on the ground.

Evans was brought in via the transfer portal from TCU and expected to become RB1 upon arrival. Ulysses Bentley IV followed in the portal from SMU and Judkins the true freshman from Alabama would round out the room.

A pecking order was seemingly in place but the freshman phenom and an injury to Evans earlier in the season sort of turned that apple cart upside down.

Despite that turn of events Evans loves watching his younger teammate have performances like the ones on Saturday.

“As Quinshon plays he gets way better,” Evans said. “It’s like the more contact he gets, it’s weird, but the more contact he gets the harder he runs.”

Judkins capped his day, and sealed the victory over Auburn for Ole Miss, with his 41-yard touchdown right before the lightning delay with just over six minutes remaining.

When Judkins got the sideline Evans celebrated with him and had some impactful words of encouragement.

“This is your f****ing house,” Evans said with a smile during his postgame interview.

The Ole Miss running backs were not the only ones who had 100-yard days on the ground.

Quarterback Jaxson Dart was also dominant in the run game, producing Ole Miss’ third runner to hit the century mark on Saturday. Dart had 115 rushing yards on 14 carries, making it his second-best rushing performance as a Rebel.

In all Ole Miss finished with 448 total rushing yards, matching the amount Dart threw for against Vanderbilt the week prior.

Dart did not have a banner day as far as passing yards were concerned on Saturday, but he did finish with three touchdown passes

Judkins and Evans each hauled in a touchdown pass, something they both relish in the opportunity of having. There is a friendly competition between the two Ole Miss running backs in who will have a touchdown through the air.

“It just means we got a lot for everybody,” Evans said of the rushing performance. “We’re almost a complete team that we’re trying to be. Three hundred-yard rushers speaks for itself. The o-line did great today. Watching them boys put the work in through practice and putting it together with the game plan, couldn’t be much sweeter.”

Here’s everything else Evans had to say in his postgame press conference. (Minus his colorful answer at the end, which was edited out)
