Just like the the first weekend of the 2023 college baseball season is in the books and while Ole Miss took care of business with a stress-free sweep of Delaware there was not much movement in polls.

The Rebels (3-0) run-ruled the Fighting Blue Hens twice in the three-game series but the success they had was expected and that usually does not grant a team much upward movement in the first poll of the regular season.

Unless some wild stuff happens above said team like what happened to Tennessee. In the Volunteers opening weekend they played in a tournament out in Arizona, losing two of their three games. Despite falling to Arizona and Grand Canyon and then bouncing back against San Diego, Tennessee only fell a spot or two in many of the new polls released on Monday.

Nearly consensus No. 1 LSU swept its opening weekend and remained atop the D1Baseball, Baseball America and Perfect Game polls.

Ole Miss stayed inside the Top 10 in those polls, receiving a small bump by Baseball America moving up a spot from No. 10 to No. 9.
