Three weeks into the college baseball season and the upper portion of the rankings is starting to level off as non-conference games are varying in degrees of difficulty. This includes Ole Miss.

After an up and down midweek Ole Miss took its first road trip of the season this weekend and rattled off three more wins against Big Ten competition. The Rebels had a perfect three days, going 3-0 and winning the Cambria College Classic, trophy and all.

A bounce back weekend led to a 4-1 week and got the Rebels (10-2) back on track as the season starts to get a touch more serious, starting with Tuesday’s game against Southern Mississippi.

Despite a strong start to the season, including a 5-1 record against another Power 5 conference through its first 12 games, not much changed in the polls as far as Ole Miss moving up is concerned.

Ole Miss keeps its rankings from last week in latest D1Baseball and Baseball America polls.

The Rebels stay at No. 4 in D1Baseball’s poll released on Monday and remain at No. 8 in Baseball America’s. There was not much change in either poll above Ole Miss, leading to them staying pat for another week.

In D1Baseball’s Top 5 it remained LSU (10-1), Stanford (9-2), Tennessee (11-2), Ole Miss and Wake Forest (13-0).

As far as Baseball America’s Top 5 is concerned it starts with the Tigers No 1, followed by Florida (10-3), Cardinals, Louisville (10-1) and the Volunteers who moved up a spot from No. 6 after beating up on Charleston Southern and Gonzaga last week.

Ole Miss gets another chance to keep adding to its non-conference resume on Tuesday, hosting the No. 22 Golden Eagles in the first rematch since last June’s Hattiesburg Super Regional. First pitch set for 6:30 p.m. CT and will air on SEC Network+
