Another preseason accolade came Quinshon Judkins way on Friday and this one was more of a formality than anything for the Ole Miss running back.

The Preseason All-SEC Team voted on by members of the media who attended Media Days this week selected Judkins as First Team running back along with Arkansas’ Raheim Sanders.

It is another in a long line of Preseason lists for Judkins, including making it on the Preseason All-American plus a first-team Preseason All-SEC honoree by Walter Camp, Lindy’s, Athlon and Phil Steele.

Judkins was the only Ole Miss player to make it on any of the three Preseason All-SEC Teams.

Last season, Judkins set the Ole Miss single-season records in both rushing yards (1,567) and rushing touchdowns (16), and ended the year ranked in the national top-10 in rushing yards (No. 7), rushing touchdowns (No. 10) and total touchdowns with 17 (No. 10).

Sanders finished less than 200 yards behind Judkins as the Ole Miss sophomore claimed the SEC rushing title his first season in the league.

Judkins and Ole Miss were also predicted by members of the SEC Media to finish in the middle of the West Division in 2023.

With this fall marking the final season with an East and West division in the SEC Ole Miss is predicted to finish in fourth place behind Alabama, LSU and Texas A&M. The Rebels were the only team to not receive a first place vote among the seven West Division teams.

With the Crimson Tide predicted to bounce back and win the West crown the East predicted order of finish was as predictable as Judkins making First Team.

Defending two-time national champion Georgia won the media poll to finish first in the East by a landslide margin of 265 vote to Tennessee’s 14 first place votes.

The media voted Georgia as the eventual SEC Champion and besting Alabama in Atlanta the first weekend of December.
