Ole Miss softball this weekend will play in front of its home crowd for the final time in 2023-24, when the Rebels host Senior Weekend (April 26-28) for their series with Auburn.

The Rebels are poised to honor seniors Aynslie Furbush, Makenna Kliethermes, Delaney Rummell and Paige Smith on Saturday. Furbush needs just one base knock for career hit No. 100 for her Rebel career.

Smith ranks in the Top 10 in program history in 10 different categories, among them career hits. She’s started every game since stepping foot on campus in 2020. Smith is one of seven players in program history with 100 hits and 100 RBI. She’s second in career RBI (160).

The Rebels are 26-22 (3-15 SEC) on the season. First pitch Friday is 5 p.m. CT on SEC Network.

OLE MISS MEN’S TENNIS DUO PICKS UP All-SEC HONORS

Ole Miss men’s tennis stars Nikola Slavic and John Hallquist Lithén both took home All-SEC honors on Thursday.

The Rebels have had at least one all-league selection in each of the last 30 years. Slavic was honored for the fourth straight year with his placement on the first team. Lithén, a 2021 All-Freshman, was made a second-teamer.

Slavic finished 19-8 overall in singles competition this season. He had a 14-6 record in duals and 21-14 mark in doubles. Slavic played in the No. 1 position for both singles and doubles. He leads Ole Miss in ranked singles (4) and doubles (3) wins. He’s currently the No. 45 singles player in the nation.

Lithén wrapped his final Ole Miss season with a 18-11 singles record and became the first Rebel since 2021 with at least seven SEC wins.  He was 16-9 with a ranked victory in doubles. Lithén clinched two Ole Miss victories this spring. Among them was an upset of then-10th-ranked LSU. Lithén had two ranked singles wins.
