Schedule for Hattiesburg Super Regional between Ole Miss and Southern Mississippi announced
Ole Miss now knows when it will begin the Hattiesburg Super Regional with No. 11 National Seed Southern Mississippi. Luckily for the Rebels they have some time to catch their breath and rest after the grueling Coral Gables Regional.
The NCAA always splits the eight Super Regionals with half starting on Friday and running through Sunday with the other four starting on Saturday and running through Monday.
For Ole Miss it gets an extra days rest with the Hattiesburg Super Regional getting the Saturday – Monday slot and if Mother Nature cooperates it has much earlier start times than some of their recent postseason games.
The opening game between the Rebels and Southern Miss is set for Saturday at 3 p.m. CT and scheduled to air on ESPNU.
Here is the full Hattiesburg Regional schedule:
Saturday (June 11):
Game 1 – 3 p.m. CT (ESPNU)
Sunday (June 12):
Game 2 – 3 p.m. CT (ESPNU)
Monday (June 13):
Game 3* – TBD (TBD)
* – If Necessary
Ole Miss punched its ticket to a third straight Super Regional after going a perfect 3-0 in the Coral Gables Regional as the 3 Seed.

Now, Ole Miss gets to head back to Pete Taylor Park in Hattiesburg for the second time in a month. Last month the Rebels defeated Southern Mississippi 4-1. To get to Omaha they must do it two more times.
Weather was a concern in Miami this past weekend but should not be much of a concern this weekend back home in Mississippi.
There is a 32 percent chance of rain and partly cloudy on Saturday then only a 24 percent chance on Sunday and drops down to a 10 percent chance on Monday if a Game 3 is needed.
