Ole Miss women’s basketball, on Tuesday, secured the 21st 20-win season in program history.

And that’s only the beginning of the Rebels’ dominance at lowly Missouri.

Ole Miss moved to 20-7 (10-4 SEC) overall, and within one game of securing the No. 3 seed in the league tournament, with a 66-45 win, the largest in history for the Rebels over the Tigers.

Even more, Missouri was the fourth Power Five opponent this season Ole Miss has held under 50 points. The Rebels didn’t even allow Mizzou a made three-pointer in the game. And that’s despite the Tigers entering the night Top 3 in the SEC from beyond the arc.

“I was just really proud of our team,” Ole Miss head coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin said afterwards. “Two years ago, we came here and we did not allow them to make a three. We wanted to recreate that again, and so our team was incredibly passionate about taking away the three and making them have to floor it.

“Holding them to 17 points in the first half, beautiful basketball for a team that takes pride on the defensive end.”

Snudda Collins returned to the rotation following a two-game absence due to injury and sank a season-best four threes.

Collins had a team-high 14 points.

“Being off these past few games, I just wanted to come in and fit right into what the team was doing in my own way,” Collins said. “I just want to win.”

Kennedy Todd-Williams and Madison Scott added 12 and 10 points, respectively. Ole Miss is now 17-3 on the year when Collins and Scott score in double figures. The Rebels out-rebounded Missouri (11-16, 2-12 SEC) by 16, led by Tyia Singleton, who had nine. She chipped in nine points, too.

Ole Miss will hit the road for the final time in the regular season on Thursday (February 29). The Rebels take on Kentucky in Lexington at 6 p.m. CT on SEC Network+.

Here’s everything else McPhee-McCuin said in her postgame press conference.
