Star Rebel defender Jared Ivey has ‘no bounds’ for his Spirit-exclusive ‘Ivey League’ podcast
Ole Miss football is off this week for spring break, meaning the first in over a month without a new episode of the ‘Ivey League.’
The ‘Ivey League’ is a podcast hosted by third-year star defender Jared Ivey, in exclusive association with the Ole Miss Spirit/On3, and powered by RiverLand Roofing.
But Ivey wasn’t going to leave town with Rebel fans empty-handed. He joined On3 national college football analyst Andy Staples this week to discuss bringing the ‘Ivey League’ to life, as well as championship-level expectations for the Rebels in 2024 and much, much more.
“It’s not only transfers, but those are the guys I’ve had on,” Ivey said. “I just want to get those guys on to get to know the fans and let the fans get to know them. There are no bounds on who it could be.”
Ivey was one of a number of notable players who announced over the off-season they’d be returning to Ole Miss instead of turning to the NFL Draft. Projections for Ivey were as high as a top-three-round selection.

But the Rebels are coming off their first 11-win season in program history.
They’re legitimate title contenders in 2024. The College Football Playoff is expanding to 12 teams next season. Ole Miss has been ranked inside the Top 10 in each of the last three seasons. The Rebels have played in a pair of New Year’s Six bowl games in the last three.
“We talked a lot about how the season ended last year and how we kind of wanted to just ride that high going into the off-season,” Ivey said. “We wanted to come back and really contend for a national championship. So, that was one of the main things.
“There’s some great players that we lost in the back end (of the defense), but besides that, offensively and defensively, we bring back the meat of both sides, plus all the new guys that are coming in that are already gelling right away.
“I’m very excited about just the depth and what we’ve got everywhere.”
