Yolett McPhee-McCuin became just the second head coach in Ole Miss women’s basketball history to reach 100 wins on Thursday night.
The Rebels got it done for her in historically-dominant fashion.
Ole Miss absolutely dismantled Kentucky in Lexington for its largest SEC road win (75-45) since 2006. The Rebels have won five games in a row to improve to 21-7 (11-4 SEC) on the year.
They’re even nipping at the heels of LSU for No. 2 in the SEC behind South Carolina, the nation’s best team. ESPN currently projects Ole Miss as a 7-seed in the NCAA Tournament.
Gillom Trophy finalist Marquesha Davis teamed up with veteran Madison Scott and North Carolina transfer Kennedy Todd-Williams to score 38 points in the win. Scott had a game-high 16.
Ole Miss had 20 assists as a team, the most for the Rebels against a league opponent this season.
They held their 10th opponent to under 50 points. Ole Miss grabbed 49 total rebounds, including a team-best eight for Todd-Williams. Todd-Williams also had four assists. Scott recorded five or more assists (6) for the seventh time this season.
“No quit (and) not giving up,” Scott said earlier this month. “We’ve had many different situations happen throughout the season. Times where we could’ve quit (and) times where we could’ve put our head down. Times we could have made excuses.
“But our coaching staff, other people around us, they didn’t allow us to.”
That's win No. 1️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ for Coach @YolettMcCuin 🤩

Ole Miss forced seven Kentucky turnovers — and led 20-7 — in the first quarter. The Rebels pushed ahead, 37-22, at the half. Scott scored the Rebels’ first six points of the third quarter. A 17-0 Ole Miss all but closed the door.
The Rebels held the Wildcats (11-18, 4-11) scoreless over the final five minutes and was up, 60-32, heading into the fourth. Ole Miss never trailed on the night, while its bench scored 23 points. The Rebels have won five straight over Kentucky.
NEXT UP
Ole Miss heads back to Oxford for the final game of the regular season and Senior Day on Sunday (February 29). The Rebels host Arkansas at 3:00 p.m. CT on SEC Network.
“As a program, we’re chasing something significant,” McPhee-McCuin said earlier this month.
The Rebels, the day prior, had picked up its eighth SEC win for the third straight season, another program first.
She closed, “We’re going to make sure we go into March red-hot.”
Mission accomplished.
