Zach Berry, the Ole Miss Spirit’s resident Rebel recruiting expert, is back for another edition of ‘The Flagship,’ powered by College Corner

Berry has the scoop on the game-day visitors for the Rebels’ 52-3 win over Middle Tennessee. Ole Miss improved to 2-0 and has now outscored its opponents 128-3 on the season.

The No. 5-ranked Rebels are facing their first road test of the season this week. They’ll kick off at Wake Forest on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. CT on The CW. The meeting will be just the third all-time between the teams.

“It’s going to be a great measuring stick,” Ole Miss EDGE Princely Umanmielen said of Wake Forest. “These first two weeks we’ve been playing (lesser) teams. It’s going to be a great test to see where we are.

“But I feel like week-in and week-out we go into the game with the same mentality no matter who we’re playing. We’re going to go into Wake Forest and try to dominate them just like we have these last two weeks.”

Ole Miss will look to extend its winning streak against the ACC Lane Kiffin.

Ole Miss is 16-10-1 against the ACC in history. Kiffin, the now-fifth-year Rebel head coach, is 3-0, including two wins over Georgia Tech and another over Louisville.

Also, is the win-loss column meaning more to Ole Miss’ top recruiting targets these days?

Five-star 2025 quarterback Deuce Knight spent last weekend on a visit to Auburn. The Tigers were upset by Cal. Caleb Cunningham was in Tuscaloosa. The under-new-management Alabama Crimson Tide didn’t inspire much confidence against USF.
