The 2023 NFL Draft is in the books and Ole Miss had four players get selected over the course of the three-day event. Though there are still several former Rebels available that have the chance to pursue their NFL dreams.

Once the NFL Draft is over the next step is becoming an undrafted free agent and looking for a team to give them that chance.

Of the Ole Miss players who participated in the Pro Day and did not get their name called in the draft include Troy Brown, KD Hill, Malik Heath, Otis Reese, Mason Brooks and Jonathan Cruz.

Below will be a tracker of all the Ole Miss UDFA’s who end up signing with a team and be updated with new signings.

AJ Finley – Los Angeles Chargers

The Ole Miss safety did not get to see his name pop up on the television screen but he gets the opportunity to share SoFi Stadium with teammate Zach Evans, who was selected by the Rams in the sixth round.

Finley finished as the fourth best tackler for the Rebels last season with 77 to go along with two interceptions and two pass break ups.

A veteran voice on the Ole Miss defense last year Finley was an anchor to that side of ball, especially the secondary.

Malik Heath – Green Bay Packers

The leading receiver for Ole Miss last season is getting the opportunity to earn his way onto a NFL roster.

After transferring in from in-state rival Mississippi State Heath finished with 971 receiving yards and five tocuhdown passes on a team-best 60 catches.

Heath complimented Mingo as a one-two punch for the Ole Miss offense. Both finished in the top 10 among Southeastern Conference receivers in 2022. Mingo was selected by the Carolina Panthers in Friday’s second round.

Mason Brooks – Washington Commanders

A newcomer to the Ole Miss offensive line last season, Brooks transferred in from Western Kentucky.

Brooks provided depth for the front line of the Rebels offense but lost his starting position throughout the season.

Troy Brown – New York Giants

The Ole Miss linebacker is getting an opportunity by signing with the Giants.

Brown led the Rebels in tackles last season, transferring from Central Michigan and recording 93 tackles and half a sack. Brown was a stabilizer in the second level of the Ole Miss defense and the leader of the linebacker corps along with Khari Coleman.

Otis Reese – Tennessee Titans

Behind Brown was Reese as the second best tackler for Ole Miss last season and the Titans are taking notice. The safety spent three years at Ole Miss after transferring in from Georgia prior to the 2020 season.

Reese finished last year with 84 tackles, three sacks and an interception.

KD Hill – New York Jets

The Ole Miss defense gets another player signed as an undrafted free agent as KD Hill will get a shot with the Jets.

Hill split time last season with JJ Pegues as a nose tackle and finished with 21 tackles and a sack.
