Ole Miss landed a commitment from Mississippi Gulf Coast running back Trey Hall, the Vicksburg, Miss. native announced on Saturday. The 5-11, 185-pound back will have four years of eligibility remaining if the recent ruling in favor of JUCO time not counting toward NCAA eligibility stands.

Arkansas State, Jacksonville State, Western Kentucky and others offered him as well. Quietly though, Ole Miss had him committed following a visit in early December.

In 2024, he rushed for 1,098 yards and 13 touchdowns on 149 carries, good for 7.4 yards per carry. He added 17 receptions for 121 yards a touchdown as well.

In 2023, Hall ranked third in the NJCAA by averaging 7.2 yards per carry. He ran for 883 yards and seven touchdowns, earning him a spot on the All-MACCC South football Second Team.

As a senior at Warren Central, Trey Hall had 149 carries for 1,009 yards and 14 touchdowns, with 38 catches for 415 yards and five touchdowns. He was named to the MAC Class 6A All-State First Team and was The Vicksburg Post’s Offensive Player of the Year on the All-Warren County Team.

On Friday, Ole Miss reeled in Akron transfer running back Jordan Simmons to add into the fold. After transferring to Akron this season, the 5-foot-11, 200 pound prospect ran for 664 yards and two touchdowns.

Ole Miss landed Missouri’s Kewan Lacy in the portal last month. The Rebels also signed four-star prospect Shekai Mills-Knight on National Signing Day.
