NEW: Ole Miss Spirit signs football Rebels Tywone Malone and Markevious Brown to NIL deals
Ole Miss football redshirt freshman defensive lineman Tywone Malone and redshirt freshman cornerback Markevious Brown have signed NIL deals with Spirit NIL and The Ole Miss Spirit.
The 6-foot-4, 300-pound Malone is a two-sport (football and baseball) standout for the Rebels. He will be in the defensive end rotation on the gridiron in 2022. He’s a slugging infielder for baseball, which will look to punch its ticket to Omaha and the College World Series this weekend in Southern Miss.
Ole Miss is appearing in its fourth straight super.
“I’m excited about the future in football and baseball,” said Malone, a New Jersey native. “This year it looks like I am going to be in the defensive end rotation with Cedric Johnson and Jamond Gordon. I believe we are going to be very good up front on defense.”

Brown has the inside track on being the third corner in the Ole Miss cornerback rotation.
Seniors Deantre Prince and Miles Battle are the likely starters, but Brown, true freshman Davison Igbinosun and sophomore Kyndrich Breedlove are all expected to get playing time.

Brown will most likely lead that pack of backups based on the results of spring drills.

The Spirit NIL now has 12 Rebels under contract.
