Early Signing Day came and went on Wednesday, and Lane Kiffin’s Ole Miss football Rebels signed 21 new high school and junior college players and finished with a consensus Top 25 class, as ranked by the four major recruiting services.
Seventeen of the signees are from the high-school ranks, including Mississippi’s top prospect, four-star EDGE Kamarion Franklin. In all, the Rebels signed 13 four-stars and seven three-stars.
Ole Miss signed four of the nation’s Top 10 JUCO recruits. Wide receiver Deion Smith, formerly of LSU, was the No. 1 wide receiver. He starred for Holmes Community College last season.
Five signees received at least one Top 150 ranking from a major service. Rivals has Franklin as the No. 17 overall player in the 2024 class. The Rebels’ haul, overall, ranks highest on Rivals (No. 17), while they’re No. 19 on On3 and ESPN and No. 21 on 247Sports.

Ole Miss signed 11 players from Mississippi. Five were in the Top 10. Joining Franklin are unanimous four-star defensive linemen Kamron Beavers and William Echoles. Other notables include AJ Maddox (quarterback), Jeffery Rush (EDGE) and Noreel White (wide receiver). Raymond Collins, from Jones CC, was the No. 8 prospect in JUCO.
“Our whole staff’s done a great job,” Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin said during his Signing Day press conference. “(Defensive coordinator) Pete (Golding) has always been a relentless recruiter. Pete’s been unbelievable. He’s done a really good job of improving our defense on the field and now. His relationships with players from previous recruiting went a long way, too.”
