'We've been to hell and back': Ole Miss begins College World Series preparation

OMAHA, Neb. — Ole Miss baseball’s season could be one that is talked about for years to come, even if it never made it to Omaha and the College World Series. But the Rebels did and their story is not over with the final chapter yet to come.
Ole Miss arrived in Omaha on Wednesday and took in Charles Schwab Field for the first time, getting a feel for the largest stadium they will play in this season.
On Thursday, Ole Miss took the field for its only practiced on the field they will begin its College World Series on later this weekend. It was also media day for all eight teams and after practice head coach Mike Bianco, Tim Elko and Dylan DeLucia took part in the press conference.

Saturday’s opening round games for Bracket 2 include Ole Miss and Auburn meeting for the fourth time this season. The Rebels took the series in March, beating the Tigers two out of three games.
Bianco boiled it down in one sentence about playing a familiar opponent once again in the same season.
“We’re different. We’ve been to hell and back. So, we’re definitely different,” Bianco said.
