Which Ole Miss players are taking part in Senior Day this weekend?
Saturday is the final home game of the 2023 football season for No. 13 Ole Miss as it hosts ULM to close out Vaught-Hemingway Stadium until next September.
Along with the chance to go undefeated at home for a second season in the last three the Ole Miss seniors will be honored as part of Senior Day.
The transfer portal makes Senior Day an interesting event now with players who have been with the team since freshman year ranging to those who are finishing up their one season at Ole Miss after transferring in.
Then there is the COVID eligibility that is still in effect and adding another element to which seniors are finished up or can return for a final season next fall if they so choose.
Ole Miss has 19 seniors who have the option to return in 2024 if they decide to and several will take part in Saturday’s Senior Day. This according to head coach Lane Kiffin on Monday.

Kiffin and his staff still have two games to plan and practice for but conversations have already begun taking place with seniors who can come back, but are preliminary in nature at this point.
“I’ve started the conversation with those guys,” Kiffin said. “A number of them, even if they haven’t made their decision whether they’re coming back, are still going to do senior night and still potentially come back. You’ll see a lot of those guys go ahead and do that, and then we’ll sit down after the season when we get all of their grades back in and educate them and let them make their decision.”
A set list of players who will make that walk out of the tunnel for Senior Day has not been finalized, but the Ole Miss offense and defense could look very different if some of these players opt to not return.
