On Tuesday, Jake Lieberman of Pro Insight reported former Montverde Academy (Fla.) prospect has narrowed his search down to Maryland, Virginia Tech, Ole Miss, Texas, LSU, New Mexico, UNLV and Georgia Tech.
Udeze battled shoulder injuries throughout his career with the Shockers but still managed to average 10.3 points and 5.4 rebounds per game the past two seasons. He was at his best in the biggest game of his career, scoring a career-high 22 points against Drake in the 2021 NCAA Tournament.
The 6-foot-8, 245 pound front court prospect shot 51 percent from the field in 2021-2022 as well as 73 percent from the charity stripe. He scored in the double-figures 13 times last season with a season-high showing against in points (19) against Kansas State and he grabbed double-digit rebounds four times.
Ole Miss is, notably, expected to return lead guards Daeshun Ruffin and Matthew Murrell. A number of players entered the portal and have already found other schools, including Austin Crowley at Southern Miss and Sammy Hunter at Akron.
