Winters Grady, On3’s No. 43 recruit in the 2025 class is taking an unofficial visit to Oregon today. The talented wing prospect is a Lake Oswego (Ore.) native now playing for Prolific Prep in California. The No. 12 Small Forward, and No. 4 recruit in California has a 6’6 200-pound frame.

Grady recently discussed his summer with On3’s Jamie Shaw, telling Shaw he was converting to a wing and a full-time Shooting Guard. Grady attended Donovan Mitchell’s Spida Camp over the summer and got the opportunity to sit down and look over film with the Cleveland Cavaliers guard. He has also been to the Pangos All-American, and NBPA Top 100 camps over the summer. Grady has had a very busy and eventful summer all while playing for Jalen Green Elite in the Adidas 3SSB Circuit.

On his recruitment:

Winters Grady told On3’s Jamie Shaw that he was, “in the process of setting official visits with Oregon, New Mexico, and Michigan.” Oklahoma is still heavily in the mix for Grady as well, and will likely find themselves getting an official visit too.

Grady was asked about his interest in Oregon, to which he responded… “Things are good there now. They’ve definitely picked up their recruitment here recently. We haven’t discussed too deep into a lot of things. I know they think I can score the ball and they kind of view me as more of a shooter, but someone who can score the ball. A lot of the high-major players from Oregon typically go to Oregon, but I wouldn’t say there is pressure for me. I played at Prolific this past season, so I’m not full-time Oregon anymore.”

“I work out with guys like Mookie Cook, Jackson Shelstad, and Payton Pritchard in the summer. So I have a well-established relationship with them.”

Other schools involved right now are Creighton, Iowa, Arizona State, and Louisville. Creighton and Iowa are the most serious of the four at the moment but still trail the four listed above. Grady told On3 that he doesn’t yet when he would like to sign, just that he hopes it would be done during the Early Signing period. He isn’t looking to rush things however so if a decision isn’t made by that point he will wait.

On what he is looking for in a school:

“I know it’s cliche to say, but ultimately I’m looking for a family type of feel. I’d like to have a connection with the players and a comfort with the program. I want to be able to go in and make an impact as a freshman, that goes along with me going in and having to earn it. I want to be able to play free and play my game, I don’t want to go somewhere and be slotted in as just a shooter. I’ll want to play for a coach that believes in me. I want to win, that is big for me,” Grady tells On3.
