Oregon has become a destination for elite quarterbacks and the 2026 recruiting cycle has been no different for the Ducks. While the Ducks recruited names like 5-star Jared Curtis, 5-star Ryder Lyons and 4-star Jonas Williams, Will Stein and company ultimately landed 4-star Vista Murrieta (Calif.) quarterback Bryson Beaver when he committed to Oregon last month.

The 6-foot-3, 195-pound passer was committed to Boise State before his stock skyrocketed on the recruiting trail. That was due in large part to strong showings at both the Bay Area Elite 11 region and the Elite 11 Finals in Los Angeles last month.

A former 3-star recruit, Beaver has reached 4-star status, climbing as high as No. 44 nationally and the No. 5 quarterback in the Rivals300 ranking. Beaver was also recruited by the likes of Ole Miss, Alabama and LSU before eventually choosing the defending Big Ten champions.

On the latest episode of the Ducks Dish Podcast, ScoopDuckOn3’s Max Torres sits down with Beaver to discuss growing up in Southern California, his wild recruiting journey and so much more.

Once he arrives in Eugene he’ll join a loaded quarterback room that currently features Dante Moore, Austin Novosad, Luke Moga and Akili Smith Jr., who he’s trained with in the past. Beaver will be the second Southern California quarterback to sign with the Ducks in as many cycles after the staff signed a legacy in Smith Jr. last year.
