QUAAACK: 4-Star Alabama DL Cam Pritchett Commits to Oregon

Dan Lanning and the Ducks are heating up on the recruiting trail as a crucial month of June gets underway.
After landing a commitment from 2027 4-star San Diego (Calif.) Lincoln EDGE Prince Tavizon on Sunday, 2027 4-star Alabaster (Ala.) Thompson defensive lineman Cam Pritchett has announced his commitment to Oregon.
The 6-foot-2 1/2, 250-pound lineman committed to the Ducks on Monday following his first trip to Eugene this weekend. Pritchett was originally scheduled to visit Oregon for the spring game in April, but flight delays created travel complications, so he rescheduled that trip for the Ducks’ Elite Camp.
He made the trip across the country alongside his teammate, 2027 4-star Thompson quarterback Trent Seaborn.
It looks like that visit left quite the impression on Pritchett, as he chose the Ducks despite only being offered by the green and yellow back in April. Oregon was able to win out over other schools like Tennesse, Clemson, Florida State and Ohio State among others for his commitment.

Pritchett is the the No. 195 player in the On300 rankings. He’s the No. 21 defensive lineman and the No. 4 prospect in Alabama.
He’s the second pledge in Oregon’s growing 2027 recruiting class and the first high school prospect from Alabama to commit to Oregon since 5-star plus+ Birmingham (Ala.) Parker cornerback Na’eem Offord in the 2025 cycle.
A majority of the focus nationally is on the rising seniors in the 2026 recruiting class, but Pritchett’s commitment shows that Lanning and the Ducks are always looking at the big picture and managing multiple recruiting classes at the same time.
Following Prtichett’s pledge, other defensive line/EDGE prospects to monitor in the 2027 class include 4-star Olney (Md) Good Counsel Anthony Sweeney (MD), 4-star Sutter (Calif.) EDGE Troy Bowens (CA), 4-star George Toia Fontana (Calif.) Summit and 4-star Inglewood (Calif.)Elija Harmon.
