Aaron Flowers Named Pre-Season Freshman All-American
Oregon signed its highest-ranked recruiting class in program history in 2024 as Dan Lanning continues to raise the bar in Eugene.
Ahead of the season kicking off against Idaho, safety Aaron Flowers is generating some buzz. The former 4-star safety out of Forney (Tex.) was named an On3 preseason true freshman All-American earlier this week.
Flowers was one of three prep safeties Chris Hampton and the Ducks signed in a 2024 class that also included Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco safety Peyton Woodyard, who originally enrolled at Alabama before transferring to Oregon, as well as Sacramento (Calif.) Grant safety Kingston Lopa. As a senior in 2023 Flowers recorded 73 total tackles, 49 solo tackles, three tackles for loss, seven interceptions and four passes.

On3 rated Flowers a four-star (97.00) recruit and ranked him the No. 49 player nationally, the No. 4 safety and the No. 10 prospect in Texas.
The Ducks saw three departures at safety this offseason with Bryan Addison transferring to UCLA, Evan Williams being drafted in the fourth round by the Green Bay Packers, and Steve Stephens IV exhausting his eligibility. Hampton continued to build out the depth in the secondary by adding transfers Kobe Savage (Kansas State) and Brandon Johnson (Duke).
Here’s what On3’s Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power had to say about Flowers.
“Aaron Flowers is a safety that we were very high on at On3 in the 2024 cycle and has a well-rounded skill set with his physical ability, athleticism, cover skills and ability as a tackler. It sounds like he’s made a very positive impression early on in Eugene and looks to be one in contention for early playing time. It wouldn’t be shocking to see him work his way onto the field and continue to grow his role over the course of the season with the Ducks.”
