With Oregon making a move to a new conference next season, it’s time to get to know our fellow B1G members. So let’s start with a series doing just that. I have no idea how many of these I’ll do or exactly what I’ll come up with. But I look forward to digging in.

Admittedly I have been to very few B1G stadiums and venues. But it doesn’t mean I don’t know enough about them to make some educated guesses. This list is like any other list that isn’t factual, it’s just an opinion. Which is what I’m paid to give often enough.

So here goes. The top five must-visit game days in the B1G.

5. Nebraska (Omaha, Neb.)

I don’t think people realize how big Nebraska football is. The capacity is listed at 87,000 with a record of 91,000. And Husker fans show up even when the team isn’t any good. (Take note USC/UCLA fans) Of course Matt Rhule is breathing life into that program once again and I do think they will be back. I’ve also heard Nebraska fans can be some of the nicer fans you’ll meet so I look forward to visiting. (Also rumor has it the beer scene is growing.)

4. Michigan (Ann Arbor, Mich.)

Oregon has been to Michigan but it’s been a while. (2007) I mean it’s called ‘The Big House’ deservedly so. You’ve got roughly 107,000 capacity which means that’s a lot of people screaming and yelling. Call me crazy but I think this ends up being one of the more ‘intense’ new rivalries in the conference. So mark me down as ready to head to Michigan to see a battle soon.

3. Ohio State (Columbus, Ohio)

I know fans were just there for one of the better wins in progrum history. So here is why I list Ohio State and as high as I do. Because with Oregon handing OSU that loss at home, that literally nobody expected, Buckeye fans will want pay back. And maybe they get it, maybe they don’t. But this could become another big rivalry given a recent history of games with one another.

2. Oregon (Eugene, Ore.)

I think there are plenty of B1G fans very excited at the chance to see Autzen stadium. I’m sure some have been but as you can tell already it’s probably going to be a popular ‘road trip’ for many B1G fans in the coming years. Locals tip, book a hotel room EARLY, expect rain and sun on the same day. Bring your drinking pants, we got LOTS of beer and wine.

1. Penn State (University Park, Penn.)

It has to be a white out game to really make it count. I get the feeling this will be a VERY popular pick for Duck fans given the lack of (recent) history with the two programs. This is one I can’t wait to experience personally mostly so I can see my buddy Sean Fitz (BlueWhiteIllustrated.com) who recently visited Oregon this Summer and tells me he’s a fan. (He gave Crux 10/10)
